Hey there, you. Yeah, you right there, looking at my portfolio site right this instant. If you want to contact me, email me at:

Things I find annoying: People that hate on Comic Sans and lets everyone know it • People who love Helvetica and lets everyone know it • Flickr's and iTunes's interface • Internet articles about the Top # of Inpiration/Mesmerizing [insert topic that helps your profession] List • Conforming to logo trends (aka everyone) • People who makes a list of things that annoys them = super d-bags [wait a minute..].

About this site: Built upon Zurb's Foundation, with jquery scripts out the ying yang. I want to thank front-end developer, Michael Marakov, for figuring out all the javascript and animations and putting the structure of this website together. This is the fourth iteration of my online portfolio.

I'm also lurking on Flickr, Behanced, and DeviantArt, so catch me if you can.

Oh photography; how modern technology has bastardized you as an artform. While I may not hold divine photo talent or equipment, I muster up what I have to create images to compliment the projects I'm working on.

Studio Studies

Canon 5D MK1 / Studio Lighting

This set contains images taken in a studio. The objective was to learn how to manipulate artificial lights in a controlled enviroment to create the shots you want every time. Softboxes, spotlights, and smith-vectors were used. No strobes. Props were self-provided.

Barbarella

Nikon D40

To create graphic assets that I could use for a brochure and website that I was designing for Barbarella Beauty: Boutique & Salon, I went to the salon to take photos. I focused on capturing the atmosphere and mood of the place by paying attention to the purple hue of the walls.

Blissmobox

Pentax K110D

Blissmo dot com sells monthly, subscription-based boxes of organic/sustainable goods, whose contents are unknown to the recipient. To document each months' boxes, and to use for future selling opportunities, I tried to capture each box in as many different environments as possible (mostly outdoors).

Color at Night

Pentax K110D

In this set of images, the goal was to study and explore the colors seen in the night time. The area seen in the photos takes place at the main park in downtown San Jose. Armed with only a camera, tripod, and a few props, I ventured into the park alone. These images tell a narrative story of a detective arriving at a crime scene.

Various Shots

Mostly Digital

While I did minor in photography in school, I wouldn't say I'm a confident photographer. At best, I'll admit I can get a solid shot or two (perhaps out of a couple of hundred). In any case, here are a collects of individual images that I feel are worth spending time looking at.
